Hi all
Can we stop pedaling these sites that are offering top SEO services and then just list of link building services, this is not SEO, that is marketing and promotion.
SEO is sorting your on site and on page issues, it has nothing to do with link building.
There is a clear difference !

While I agree with you about the so called SEO experts that are just building links and promoting that as pure SEO, I do not agree with the marketing part.
Yes, when we do SEO the first thing we do is make the site optimized, but building links is also a part of SEO. I don’t agree with you that SEO has nothing to do with link building. If you claim that then all of us would have to rank number one just by optimizing our websites and nothing more, which is impossible. Before you give a reply, answer me this question, what is the purpose of SEO, what is the goal behind SEO?
Once you answer that question you will realize that link building is a part of SEO!
Hi
You make quite a good argument, but when you are creating backlinks to your website you are not really optimising your site are you ?
SEO is to optimise your site as best you can, will that get you high in the search engines, of course not and why should it !
There are many different factors involved in getting higher on the search engines, SEO alone will not get you there !
So I stand by my post, you need to optimise your site first, then market and promote your site constantly.
Marketing promotion takes many forms, one of them is backlinking, this is marketing !!!
The two things differ as they are 2 totally separate entitys, requiring 2 different skill sets, so why push them both together under the umberalla of SEO ?
